Department: Truck Shops – Fort Smith Garage
Shift Time: 7:30 am – 5:00 pm M-F
Pay Rate: Based on experience.

Summary Repairs and maintains electric, diesel and gasoline industrial trucks and hydraulic systems by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Must be able to make all minor repairs such as changing belts, hoses, alternators, water pumps, etc.
Must be able to make all adjustments.
Must be brake certified.
Must be able to successfully perform PM1 and PM2 without assistance.
Must have good working knowledge or hydraulic systems and be able to successfully perform GMP and PSI testing and diagnosis.
Must be able to repair hydraulic motors, pumps, and gearboxes to a good working condition.
Must be able to make repairs to aluminum and steel with welding equipment.
Must have knowledge performing tasks such as valve adjustments, clutch replacements, turbo replacements, and trunnion arm bushing.
Must have 2 years of diesel truck maintenance experience.
Must be able to repair and diagnose all systems found in heavy truck hydraulic applications.
Must be certified in R12 and 134 air conditioning systems and have good knowledge and understanding to successfully operate recovering systems.
Must successfully complete hydraulic certifications (Leadwell Hydraulic Seminars).
Carries a company pager or cell phone and responds to calls as needed.

Education and/or Experience
One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills

Mathematical Skills

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Current driver's license preferred. Upon hire, must be able to obtain ASE certifications in air conditioning, brakes and hydraulics.
